The final resolve is very clear. No more vision screenings in the schools. Save the state money. Give the money back to the taxpayers and parents. Have them follow "Amy's Law" and the new eye exam law for children entering school.

There is no more need of having vision screeners in the schools, than there would be having health and dental screeners in the schools. Imagine screeners trying to make a decision to refer or not refer to the dentist or physician.

The protests of the parents and teachers have been heard and will have 100% assurance their children and students will be the best they can be to learn and see. Now they should go directly to the eye doctor. No complications and less costly in many ways.

Thank God that the collective assembling of parents and teachers taking action with the legislators has resolved this long negative to our children's visual welfare in the State of Illinois.

Why all the controversy about trying to make sure our children have proper vision? Taxpayers may be able to save money on the children that we are paying for ADHD medication when there is really a vision problem. Glasses and an eye exam is much cheaper!
